I think what I’m sewing could be considered a capsule wardrobe if i didn’t like bright prints so much! I end up making the fun stuff and buying the pieces to go with them 🙂

I am planning my capsule wardrobe as we speak. I’m going on a tour of the garment district in NYC this weekend. I have my colors and most of my patterns picked out.
What to wear??? A pretty dress, a warm jacket and a cosy scarf- all picked from my capsule wardrobe made from a wonderful collection of new patterns!!! What to wear dilemma sorted! Sewing machine here I come.
Capsule travel wardrobe is underway using my favourite off-the-rack items to inspire and alter the pieces that I will be making. Navy and black as the foundation colours along with brights to liven the look up.
2 pants, a skirt and a tshirt already complete. Would love to round it out with some of these patterns for free! Love the capsule wardrobe theme. Lots of love to the vivienne files as my first exposure to the idea!

I hadn’t thought of it as a capsule wardrobe before this month but I’ve recently started trying to sew pieces that actually coordinate with each other. So, yes, I guess I am working toward a capsule wardrobe.
I’m working on a summer capsule wardrobe: several flowy tank tops, a new pair of jeans, and a pair of capris. When the weather got warm, I realized I didn’t have any summer clothes that I loved the way I love my fall/winter/spring wardrobe! I also might make a dress or two, having found one at Goodwill that has become an unexpected success in my wardrobe!
I have been wanting to sew myself a capsule wardrobe for some time, and have found these posts very helpful and informative. I have planned out a 4×4 sodoku grid for a capsule wardrobe, containing lots of dresses! Some of these patterns would be perfect for putting my plan into action.

Am doing a capsule wardrobe of sorts. Have started a snowbird life due to family, so will have one wardrobe for Montana & one for Arizona. I have such a mishmash of fabrics and seem unwilling to cut any of them. Have decided to sew fabrics that would be easily replaceable if what I make doesn’t fit now or in the future to help overcome that issue. With that, realized I always love the nautical look in summer: red, white, & blue; stripes, anchors & solids. So am sewing those. Enjoy all you do & the comments of the readers, too. I have enjoyed reading your posts this month. I tend to do well buying fabrics with colours that go well together but I am a bit haphazard in what I make with them. Lovely tops all coordinated but no bottoms to wear them with or vice versa! This has given me some focus as to what to make to complete the wardrobe.

I’m planning a linen capsule of tops, skirts, and a dress.
I dont own many clothes and my problem is that except for a black skirt ot pants my items go with nothing else. So yes i need to build a capsule wardrobe by first concentrating on a few neutral….tan, brown and pink i think….

I have been researching capsule wardrobes for a couple of years, and always get stopped by the “Ready to Wear is Horrible” truth. But the CSC has been amazingly inspirational since I found it a few months ago. I am planning a linen summer capsule for summer like a poster above mentioned. Now all I need is to find some time to sew!!!
I wear scrubs to work, but basically need two mini capsules. One for church and one for casual/grocery store/errands. These patterns look like a nice mix for both. I have really enjoyed this series, lots of ideas cooking.

I’m not sure when I’ll get around to sewing my capsule wardrobe, but I’ve basically finished planning out the items, and a lot of them have fabric choices allocated already. Some items might have to wait till I can save up for a few more patterns.
I’ve been so inspired by this series! I’m already planning on making some linen pants to wear under dresses…now I need to make the dresses. A summer linen capsule is in my future 🙂
I haven’t planned a “planned” capsule wardrobe, but I love to read about it. I do pull patterns and fabrics for each season, and I do put thought into prints vs. patterns. I try to make a solid item for every print I make.
Love the patterns, though I don’t think I’m much of a capsule wardrobe type. I like too many different styles and want to try them all!

Yes, I am. I have STUDIED everything I can find about a capsule wardrobe. I have gained a lot of weight recently due to my health. I have been confined to my bed for almost 5 months. But that is ending, and I have been planning my wardrobe. I need as many changes as possible, because I DO NOT HAVE CLOTHES! This collection of patterns, and my stash of fabric. So many of these patterns, I have planned into my wardrobe. This would be a gift from heaven.
A capsule wardrobe would be perfect for me as I prepare to retire and need a new style.
I love the idea of sewing a capsule but no I’m not planning to. I’m working on a swimsuit right now and then I’m going to continue having fun with my pattern and fabric stash. I’m sure one day I will sew a capsule but not this summer.
