I fell down the rabbit hole and have been imagining my mini capsule wardrobe for a little while. Have a notebook where I jot down ideas for outfit combinations and whatnot. I’m currently in the middle of making a silk shell top which theoretically can be used with jeans for a casual look, pencil skirt for something more office appropriate and a circle skirt for an evening look.
Whilst I’m not sure I’m organised enough to carry off a complete capsule wardrobe, I like that it’s making me think more about my makes. No more wardrobe orphans!
I can’t wait to get going.
I am in desperate need of a summer wardrobe heavy on tops! I have enjoyed this series and have been inspired to sew with a purpose.

Have not planned to make a capsule wardrobe at this point. I am retired. However, if I am lucky enough to receive these patterns, I will definitely do so! Thank you for this wonderful give away!
I recently retired (!) and a whole closet full of business clothes just isn’t making it anymore. The idea of the capsule wardrobe is soooooo appealing. My skills are pretty rudimentary and very rusty, but challenge is good, right? The sewists here are so generous with time and expertise I can’t help but feel encouraged.

I’d love to try! I have such a difficult shape to fit, cannot find RTW clothing and am trying to me-made. My construction skills are A-OK but lack some of the alteration skills. Not able to find classes in my area so I’m winging it.
Capsule collections are a brilliant idea. Matching sets of clothes have been around for ages, but to expand the idea to more than 2 pieces is brilliant.
Have been totally inspired and challenged by your capsule wardrobe articles. Been loving the whole month. Have pulled EVERYTHING out of my closet, and now have sewing with a purpose to do!

I sew my tops but would love to extend my wardrobe for a trip to New Zealand this winter.
Having emptied my wardrobe of ‘don’t fit/don’t like’ I have little left so I’m about to try out the capsule idea!
Reading all this about a capsule wardrobe has got me thinking – this is brilliant! My daughter just graduated from college and will be starting her job soon – we sat down last night and talked about what a capsule wardrobe could be for her work clothes. We’re ready to start sewing! I made clothes for mmyself and my daughters way back and I just made a dress for myself this week ánd I have bought fabric for a t shirt 🙂 So the patters would be very welcome to extend my wardrobe a bit more!

I have been taking part in Me Made May which has helped me identify the clothes I like to wear and what gaps in my wardrobe I have.
When I discovered the capsule wardrobe, I realized I’ve been employing the ultimate capsule for years- the uniform method. Khakis and tees. Out of necessity rather than choice, of course. So the idea of a real capsule feels like a natural step into sewing for myself. Yet also a bit extravagant, as I will end up with more options. My little base capsule currently consists of the Wardrobe by Me Wardrobe Builder tee, the Style Arc Barb pant and Seamwork Brooklyn skirt. Thank you, ladies. I’ve really enjoyed capsule month.
It has been inspiring to see the beautiful garments created for the “capsule” wardrobes. So far I am a true capsule gal when traveling, have weeded out my closet but there is more to do but I have not commited to the capsule full time. I can imagine 3 or 4 capsules but I think that is not the goal. The patterns are beautiful, I have sewn with the big 4 and look forward to a chance to try the patterns offered.

I am working on paring down my current clothes so I can eventually begin sewing pieces for what I call my daily uniform. These are all patterns that I’ve bookmarked!
This series has been life changing! I read The Curated Closet and immediately found where my problem is: I sew without thinking how the items will fit into my wardrobe so many become orphans or are totally not my style. I have sewn one tee shirt this month that fits so well into my existing wardrobe that I think I have worn it four times a week (but in different ways with different accessories). I am working on my second item and feeling pure joy because I know it will be the same. Amazing what a difference this makes!!!
I’m purging my closet and stored clothes with a capsule in mind. These patterns look doable with my skills and a little help from some friends. I hate to shop. I should be sewing everything I wear for fit and color choice. Thanks for the great blog posts.

I am in the process of making a capsule wardrobe. I have already made two shirts, two sweatshirts and some t-shirts. I have the material for a couple of dresses, one pair of jeans and a pair of elasticated trousers. I’m going to be busy!
I love the curvy sewing collective as all the lovely posts and ideas are helping with my self confidence.
I’ve already started on my capsule wardrobe. I was hoping to post something in May, but I’ve had to do more pattern adjustments than I expected. I finished drafting a pattern and sewing a muslin for my slouchy tee, and am about to try it on one of the knit fabrics for my capsule wardrobe.
This has been a very inspiring series! I will definitely be sewing some capsule pieces. Great bundle of patterns also.
