Bundle #1 – Amy ” After being away from my sewing machine for a number of years,I recently reintroduced myself to my friend….my sewing machine. The humming of my friend is a song that helps me escape the stresses of my work day. I love sewing outfits that I wear to the office. It gives me much pleasure recieving compliments and knowing I couldn’t have done it without my friend, my sewing machine.”Amy never replied to the emails that we sent her, so we chose another winner.- Bundle #1 – MaudieBrid “Dresses! But really into buttoned-up shirts lately!”
- Bundle #2 – Tracy ” Jersey tops are my favourite thing to sew!”

Lately I’ve been sewing lots of knits, so I’d say my favorite is tops.
I like to make blouses…I like asymmetric necklines and interesting features that make the blouse a bit different.
I love to sew tops, especially dolman tops, they are quick and easy to make and easy to wear too.
Pair with black pants or skirt and you are good to go
I really need some new clothes. Especially ones that fit!
My favorite garments to sew are casual tops and shirts for everyday wear. but with all the creativity and pictures of everyone’s makes I’ll have to step up and try some dresses and pants! Woo Hoo!
My Favourite Garment to sew would have to be Vintage style full skirted dresses! They come together so easily (most of the time) and the end product is always worth showing off!
My favorite garment to see is a jacket. I feel so successful when I finish one!
Favorite garment is probably blouses. I prefer pants and skirts in boring basic colors usually, then the tops are where I put all my bright colors and interesting details.
Tunics…they seem to be the most forgiving so far as a new sewer.
I love sewing dresses, because it’s an instant new look in my wardrobe, but I like sewing skirts because they are less time-consuming. Either way, I’d like to be entered to win the second bundle of patterns, please.
I love to see dresses but I am trying to branch out into casual wear, too.
I like to make jackets & dresses
My favourite garment to sew is probably tops. I have trouble getting them to fit, so it is out of necessity. I do like pants and coats too. I feel so accomplished when I make a coat.
I love making tops, they are quick and very vestige. Next I love making dresses, great easy dressing.
I’m torn between skirts and undies. Skirts are my favorite thing to wear and I love how small changes make for such big differences. But undies are just so quick and easy that they’re a really addictive sew…
I like sewing pants – makes me feel like I have a superpower! Great giveaway – thanks!
At the moment my favourite thing to sew is raglan tshirts
Hi I love princess seam dresses. They are easy to adjust for my fuller bust and have a flattering shape. Simplicity Amazing Fit are my go to patterns
Skirts are my favorite garment to sew. I love the endless possible style and fabric combos.
I really enjoy sewing dress shirts for my husband! He is very particular and picky so I pay attention to detail. I also love sewing tops for me (I’m busty and petite so finding things for me is very difficult) Thanks for the giveaway!
I love sewing for my children. For myself, I love sewing skirts and tops.
Right now my favorite thing to sew is tops and dresses. Great week of simplicity, I’ve enjoyed all of the reviews and will be adding some of the patterns to my stash!
I like making shirts mostly because that’s what gets the most wear. I haven’t made pants yet, but that’s up next.
I like to make dresses because they are the hardest thing to fit in RTW, for me. Tops and skirts would be a close second though!
I love to sew sweatshirts. So snugly for the winter.
I don’t think my comment posted. If it did, I am sorry for a second post. I mostly make costumes for my family, or historical garb for participation in the SCA. Recently I have fallen in love with the vintage styles of the 30’s-50’s and have plans to make a lot of dresses. I am very excited about Simplicity offering more plus sizes, as I have to enlarge every pattern i make and it really prevents me from doing as much sewing as I would like to do.
Right now I like to sew loose clothing or anything knit. I’m still working on getting the the right fit for me. I’d love to go in the draw to win the first set of patterns.
Hummmm…well I suppose that tops are my favorite…which also includes tunics and short dresses to be worn as tops. I,love simple patterns that showcase fabrics.
Jersey tops are my favourite thing to sew!
My favorite garment to sew is skirts for myself. They go together pretty quickly and almost always look amazing. I can never find RTW skirts that I like, so that is an added bonus.
I love sewing skirts. One basic pattern can be altered to so many different variations.
I love beautiful sleeping gowns. Long, slinky, satiny gowns. I love to get my bath, put on a slinky gown, spray with Chanel No. 5 and go to bed to read or watch TV until I fall asleep.
So I have learned how to make these kinds of gowns and they fit me perfectly.
I love making lounge pants!
Dresses dresses, dresses.
I love to sew a good fitting dress. Because my top and bottom half are not the same size it is impossible to purchase a ready to wear dress that fits.
fleece nightgowns and tops are my favorites. The scraps make great mittens, scarfs and outfits for my grandson.
I love making dresses because they are pretty and blouses because I wear them a lot!
I love to sew skirts because I can wear them year-round with a variety of short and long sleeved tops. I have just discovered your blog and am really enjoying it. It gives me a boost to see how nice a curvy woman can look when she dresses with confidence. thanks!
I think i sew shirts the most. i am alsways lookign for a new, flattering, easy shirt pattern.
My favorite things to sew are chemises or under-tunics based on period fabric layouts. I like the challenge of figuring out how people in the past made things work.
I’ve always enjoyed sewing tops, any kind of tops (shirts, blouses, jackets, hats, etc) for all sizes (infant thru adult sizes).
I like making tops for me and various garments for my grandchildren.
I’ve mostly made costumes, but I’m trying to learn how to make all types of clothes.
My favorite garments to make are pajamas.
I like sewing skirts. They are easier to fit and a quick sew usually.
I enjoy making my families clothes for my husband, myself and children, which includes men’s complete suits and ties, women’s suits. dresses, shorts, skirts, pajamas for both men and women, nightgowns and robe. I enjoy sewing anything and everything. I like to sew all of my families clothes because when you buy clothes they never look right on you and everyone wears the same clothes. when you make you own clothes you can pick out you own fabric, change the pattern for adjustments needed and have a better and more professional clothes that you made and also the satisfaction of making the clothes yourself.
Oh! I sew skirts with perfectly fitting waistbands & pockets – because pockets! & they’re easy!
But its absolutely time to start challenging myself
I like making dresses and skirts.
Knit dresses are my favorite but I’m learning how to sew shirtdresses!
