Thanks for joining us for our trio of challenges!
I am new to this blog and I LOVE it! My problem with most of the skirt patterns is that I need pockets! I work in one of those high security buildings where you need a security card to ride the elevator and even a key to get into the hall bathroom, and I certainly don’t want to have to carry my purse around every time I need to use the bathroom or ride the elevator down to get the mail (which I also need a yet another key to get at). It’s not too difficult to add a pocket into a side seam…but I still wish ALL patterns had a version with pockets….
I love pockets in most things but have found that a lot of skirts look terrible with pockets. When I worked in a hospital and needed a swipe card to get EVERYWHERE I just used a lanyard, or clipped it to my belt/pocket – can you do something similar?
I love it!!! We all got into our self loving skirt side!! 🙂 Wonderful job to everyone!!
Thanks for organizing this challenge Tanya!! 🙂
You are serving up some pure inspiration with your skirts! I have the Mabel (got it as a gift) and these make me want to grab it and some knit and work my attitude!
Thanks Anne, I’m all for inspiration! 😉

Love the variety of skirts you all dreamed up! I finished my skirt and wore it last week for my son’s graduation and received lots of compliments, thanks to some help on here about how to grade it up to my size. I think the word “flattering” was used a lot…. which reminded me of a previous post on this blog about the euphemisms used for plus size women. I do think when you make your own skirt, it looks so much better than one you buy that doesn’t fit. All of you have accomplished that!! Now I have a question: what do you wear under them? It is too hot here to wear a slip so I resorted to a long shaper type short underneath, but my skirt keeps catching on it. HELP!! TIA
Mine has a lining. Maybe a half slip?
Is your slip made of polyester? A silk slip or something similar (like lining) shouldn’t add to much heat, I would think!
