The Cashmerette Tobin is a sweater pattern with a ton of options: View A features a split neck, chic color-blocking, and wide cuffs, View B has a cowl neck and swingy high-low hem, while View C is a classic sweatshirt.
The sizing goes from a 40 inch bust to a 58 inch bust and from a 42 inch hip to a 58 inch hip. As well, Cashmerette patterns include three different cup sizes: C/D, E/F, and G/H. The pattern also comes in either PDF or printed.

Measurements: My measurements are 52 inch bust, 48 inch waist, 56 inch hip.
Body Shape: Shapeless Void
Pattern size: I made a size 22 graded to a 28 at the hip with a G/H cup size. This is my usual size with Cashmerette patterns.
Alterations: None. My Tobin sweater is made using view A but omitting the buttons since I am not a fan of adding non-functional buttons to garments.
Fabric: I used a rayon blend striped white and coral ponte knit for the main and a navy ponte knit for the contrast. Note that I made a mistake with the orientation of the split neck cowl, but I am okay with it.
Fit: I think the fit is spot on. Originally, I though about maybe lowering the darts since that is a common adjustment for me with Cashmerette, but I think it looks good in these pictures. It’s possible I wasn’t wearing a good bra when I tried it on initially. LOL.
Changes for Future Versions: None
Final Thoughts: I love my Tobin sweater and have plans for so many more. It’s such a great pattern and I love the options. Next up, I plan on making view B in a lovely hacci sweater knit from my stash.

- Measurements: High Bust – 42″, Bust –46.5″, Bra Size – 40D/DD, Waist – 42″, Hips – 46″, Height – 5’2″.
- Body shape: My body type is somewhere between a hourglass and rectangle from the front, and an apple from the side.
- Pattern size used: 18G/H graded to a size 20 at the waist.
- Alterations: This was a tester version, so I didn’t make any changes from the pattern as drafted.
- Fabric: Cotton-lycra French Terry from Purple Seamstress Fabrics.
- Fit: It’s a skimming fit without being too snug or too loose. It’s perfect for this type of garment, in my opinion.
- Changes for future versions: I don’t plan to make any fit alterations, although I’d like to try some of the other views.
- Final thoughts: It’s so nice to finally have a sweater pattern with a versatile number of options and cup sizing for large busts! It’s a great basic to have in my pattern stash.
