My name is Kathryn and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I’ve been sewing and doing crafts since I was about 8, taught and encouraged by my very patient mother who also has sewn all her life. I have always made clothes for myself with varying degrees of success but stopped after having children as I gained weight and didn’t like the clothes on myself anymore. Last year, after joining the CSC I discovered Indie pattern makers and their wonderfully fitting clothes, needing only simple alterations. I actually like what I’m wearing now and I look at RTW clothes with disdain!! I have a lot to learn about fitting for myself and others, but it’s a fabulous journey to be on. I still love knitting and sewing dolls clothes, but am becoming slowly more and more obsessive about my clothes sewing. My goals for this year is to develop a blog, an Etsy shop and gain skills in fitting Smile
