Did Mary’s post make you super excited to make your first coat? Or maybe, if you’re like me, your third? It’s totally do-able – if you can make a shirt dress, you can make a coat. However there a lot of little tips and tricks to help it look Ready to Wear, from interfacing and interlining, to padstitching, bound buttonholes and sleeve heads. I gathered together a bunch of helpful tutorials and tips when I made my coat last year, and you can read them over here at Cashmerette.
Happy coating!

I must say the coat is on my to do list but not this season. Like you I need to do some researching on techniques as well as deciding on which pattern I would like to try. I love all your tips too so I know they will help me when I do venture that route.
